I had thought that the purpose of the Plasma / Merge function was to carry Plasma Components along with merged objects brought in from other .max files. I thought I remembered having done that successfully in the past.
I was apparently wrong about that, since recent attempts only merge the object and not its associated component(s). And now I have no idea what the whole point of Plasma's Merge is, since it appears to be no different from the normal Max Merge.
Anyone have any observations on this?
.....much later:
after having tried using the Plasma / Merge function many times, all I've deduced is this:
RESULTS MAY VARY
That is, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Maybe depending on complexity of the component lists? So far, I don't know.
