I really dislike the "Post Icon" feature seen when a new post or PM is created. It's unnecessary and with too few choices to be useful. If MyBB wanted it to be useful, they should make smilies from the normal panel at the left of the posting area available as "Post Icons".
Looking at how to disable this feature, there appeared to be no simple administrator option. A search, however, shows this horrific sequence of edits required to get rid of 'em:
