Destiny: shard installer
#1
Why do you want Destiny?
(TL;DR!)

Cyan's open-sourced Plasma tools for 3DS Max were designed to output to their internal server (shard) for testing.
But since most of us Max/Plasma volunteer agebuilders did not run our own shards, a multipurpose software tool named Drizzle was created that contained a feature to convert Plasma output into single-player URU:CC format, allowing us to test our results on our own machines.

However, once volunteer-created Ages were finally able to be added to online multiplayer MO:ULa, it became apparent that the engine differences between single-player and multiplayer URU would mean that a lot of revisions by the artists were necessary. So a specialized shard software was developed by Deledrius, intended to match Cyan's shard more closely. He named it Destiny, and the central server for this shard has been hosted by Mystler for many years.

The advantage for Destiny is that - if the agebuilder desires - their project can be shared with other team participants. Otherwise, all files simply reside on your own computer. Destiny also allows Age developers to utilize Max/Plasma's export output directly, with no conversion necessary.
The disadvantage, for many potential users, was that installing Destiny could be difficult or problematic. Fortunately, Hoikas has written an easy, automated installer script that also utilizes the latest updates developed by the H'uru team of volunteer programmers. My experience was that it worked perfectly. You can trust it!
